Family Heritage Search & Covid-19
As the United Kingdom is currently in a period of lockdown this has affected the services that I can offer. The vast majority of Record Offices, Archives and Libraries now closed to the public and if any service is offered it is limited in it capabilities. Civil Registration Services are also affected with Register Offices currently not registering Births or Marriages and suspending production of historical certificates, the GRO is also on a limited service and they have asked for people and businesses to limited their request for certificates at this time.
With this in mind I have also reduced what I can offer during this period as I can only access online records via a number of online sources, however I will not be able to access offline sources.
I am happy to undertake research for clients where the resources are available online, any research which requires access to offline records will need to be deferred until archives reopen and it is safe to visit.
For clients who are looking to use one of my packages for a detailed investigation I can take requests but work would not commence on any offline aspect until it is safe to do so.
I am also happy to advise those using the period of isolation to begin their journey into discovering the ancestors.
