Ruskin College Oxford – Destruction of its Archives
As genealogists we all know valuable archives are in our research, without them we could not do our research. So it comes with great disappointment to see that a college which has over the years prided itself on giving the working classes a chance of education is now in the process of destroying its archives.
Records like early admission registers of students have been trashed, the sort of records genealogists treasure.
The culprit is the Principal of Ruskin College, Oxford and Dr Hilda Kean a former Dean of the college has started a petition to seek to stop any further destruction.
